Lab Test

The Chunks Lab is a playground of experiments that measure and expand resonance. From RPD tests with nose clips to sensitivity in syllable counting, CỜ TRÒN ® frequency games, GPT-powered reflex contests, music-driven pronunciation, and CHUNKS improv comedy — each lab probes free-will choices, spiral movement, and the living core of spoken fluency.

English Stress - Guess Speed

This realistic research adapts Vietnamese pronunciation habits to train stress recognition in English homonyms, reducing reliance on complex tongue placement. By passing down clear American-tone rules, learners catch the natural musical flow, improving recognition of correct versus incorrect stress even in advanced, unfamiliar words.

Improv – CHUNKS Comedy

This experiment creates an improv playground where participants simply “say what they think” and let laughter flow naturally. No script, no pressure — just a return to real life, where comedy arises authentically from shared moments and genuine presence together.

Parallel Idea Generation

This pre-GPT era experiment was born from one question: “How can a system automatically generate n different expressions for a single idea?” Using 100% Excel, CHUNKS built APPLE, a six-month experiment that produced countless variants, turning one hint into many creative pathways.

Phrasebook application

This app marked CHUNKS’ first online milestone. Version 1.5 launched on 7/7/2022 after months of recording nearly 30 voices and testing with Microsoft Azure speech-to-text. Backed by real UAT trials, it turned language fragments into living practice for everyday learners.

CHUNKS Of Sound [COS]

CHUNKS OF SOUND shifts learning into pure audio, where learners respond instantly to central speaker hints. Through 3-step ERES (Speaking Reflex), they hear Vietnamese prompts and transform them into English speech within seconds. With 3-step EREL (Listening Reflex), they decode rapid 30-sound sequences under playful time pressure. Together, these modules train sharp reflexes, accurate phrasing, and natural confidence.

Sandbox Problem Solving & Weird World Experience

SANDBOX & WWE blend sound-based learning with creative roleplay. Learners step into story-driven scenarios, solving problems through imagination, teamwork, and quick reflexes. By applying ERE techniques, participants unlock characters, desires, and lucky factors — turning language practice into an engaging world of exploration.

English For The Blind (EFTB)

EFTB applies CHUNKS of Sound to help visually impaired students practice reflex listening and speaking through tactile, audio-based learning. Partnering with Huynh Đệ Như Nghĩa shelter, the project brings joy, confidence, and future opportunities while measuring real impact through phased trials.

Prodouble Program

This piano-driven authentic experience evolved from the 2020 “Stress-guessing” pronunciation model into a full U.S. Prodouble-inspired series. Blending events, phonetic guessing games, and the “Music of Language,” it helps learners refine American sounds while experiencing pronunciation as rhythm, melody, and playful communal performance.

MASTER-i

MASTER-i is a reflex-based language contest launched in early 2025, combining GPT LLMs with Google Speech-to-Text. Season 1 measured response time, repetition, and phrase accuracy under real pressure, creating a competitive yet playful arena for testing linguistic speed, focus, and mastery.

CỜ TRÒN ®

CỜ TRÒN® is a patented CHUNKS board game (VN Reg. No: 4-2024-80170) designed to train debate and negotiation skills through strategic play. Players launch moves toward the central circle, navigating shifting alliances and arguments, transforming language practice into dynamic, real-time tactical competition.

Sound-Based Tests

Those special tests have become a core CHUNKS practice, with nearly 20 lab experiments conducted by early 2025. From listening shadowing to blind syllable-counting, these tests provide sharper evaluations of how learners perceive and process language through sound, grounding progress in practical sound science.

Multi-Language Approach

This breakthrough experiment expands CHUNKS beyond English, applying COS and ERE methods to Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Finnish, and more. Experiments also extend into programming languages like C, Python, and Scratch — even music — exploring how structures, sounds, and emotions converge into one universal language of learning.

Random Pauses Disorder (RPD)

RPD tests reveals why speakers often stop mid-sentence — from fear of judgment to grammar slips, native rhythm interference, breathing cadence or low confidence rate (%c). Unlike other skills, speaking requires reflex-driven coherence, where syllables must stick together to sustain comprehension flow.
